Julie Nioche’s performance

"The investment in the body seems to reflect the lived relationship with the world. The feeling of owning an unharmed body is not entirely straightforward, we do not get a ready-made impression of it. To construct an image of the body is to give shape to an extremely imprecise material. We are building it and deconstructing it perpetually. Each movement can be thought of as a series of inner images in the making. Disintegrate and bring the body together in images. It is about locating oneself in this paradox of the body: an object of communication and of confinement at the same time. It is about playing with the multiple images associated with that of our visible body." Julie Nioche
