Une Echappée

Julie Nioche’s children’s show

“Escape the order of things, create a place of resistance. In UNE ÉCHAPPEE, it is a question of bringing dance and objects into links that divert and shift the order of things. When there is no answer to a why, when doubt operates and imposes itself, then an immense space opens up for the unknown, the imaginary, the "not necessarily coherent". A space of disorder, disorientation not always comfortable but also sometimes rich, joyful, desirable. A dancer and a builder of spaces make and unmake landscapes: house, cloud, aquatic... The objects they use are recycled and change roles to tell different things. Jubilation comes from the simplicity of the poetic consequences of one action on another. ”

A soundtrack illustrates each landscape and creates a link between all. To escape is not to flee, but to fly away, to let go, to go into a dreamlike world, to escape from reality to leave room for games and fantasies". Music has an inimitable power giving listener the feeling of escaping in modes that the chords, the melodies, the stamps come to color. Glass bubbles for the bubble landscape will alternately become percussion or wind instruments. The sound of xylophone or marimba for the rain, of bowed strings for the wind. Electronic filters will be used to work on the material, so that it envelops the landscapes, the feeling of containment being important for all children.
